Service as Assistant to the President Commended

The Regents also approved a new administrative position, Assistant Dean of Student Services of the School of Social Work. Susan Lipschutz Provost Duderstadt called attention to three tenured appointments. He also mentioned the appointment of Dr. Susan Lipschutz, Assistant to the President, as Associate Dean of the Rackham School of Graduate Studies. He said that Dr. Lipschutz has been an important figure in University administration. He indicated that he looked forward to working with her in this new challenging assignment. President Shapiro indicated Dr. Lipschutz has been an enormous help not only to the operation of his office, but for all the executive officers operations in the central administration building. He wished her good luck, and said she would be missed.
