Celebrate the end of the week with an enjoyable and informative program over lunch with Detroit-based artist Doug Jones. Jones is leading art creation sessions to produce artwork based on the unique and inspiring collections of the University of Michigan Library that will later be displayed in libraries across campus. Attendees will be given instructions and materials to help create the pieces by following Jones’ pixel technique. Free, but please RSVP.
All are welcome to attend and participate, regardless of age, background, artistic ability, or life experiences, and families are welcomed – children kindergarten and older will be best suited to fully participate. All materials needed are included, and a light lunch will be provided.
Sponsored by the Center for the Education of Women+ (CEW+) and U-M Library.
