Conference Room Features
Our three general conference rooms include:
- a ceiling-mounted projector that can be connected to a laptop
- wired and wireless Internet access
- conference phone
- and whiteboard.
The features of our advanced teleconference and training room appear below. Additional needs can be met, with prior arrangement.
Policies & Reservations
Conference rooms may be reserved by U-M students, faculty and staff for academic and student service purposes. (For social events, we recommend the Pierpont Commons.)
Due to the high demand, conference rooms may not be reserved for regular classes or weekly meetings — but rooms may be reserved for individual class sessions requiring use of video conferencing.

Teleconference and Training Room, 1180 Duderstadt Center
Located in the atrium next to the entrance to the connecter hall, this multi-media conference space includes a meeting room that can can accommodate up to 34 people, a foyer suitable for coffee or light lunch buffet service, a coat room, a small catering kitchen (with a refrigerator and running water), and a unisex bathroom.
This 1,800-square-foot room features four large displays, two large rear projection screens and two 70-inch LCD displays. Different inputs can be directed to each of the displays in what we are calling a "quad-view" setting.
There is a gooseneck microphone at the lectern, and 15 ceiling-mounted speakers for sound reinforcement and recording. Additional lapel and hand held microphones are available on request. A motorized control allows the lectern to be raised or lowered.
Features also include:
- a desktop PC and two VGA laptop connections at the lectern
- an HDMI connection at the lectern for laptops or mobile devices
- a Blu-ray player
- a document camera
- additional VGA and HDMI connections from the center of the room
Conference Room 2, 1127 Duderstadt Center
This 324-square-foot room has a table that seats up to 12 people, with extra seating along the perimeter. In addition to standard features, this room also includes a Polycom VSX 7000 IP videoconferencing unit.
Conference Room 3, 1129 Duderstadt Center
This 324-square-foot room has a table that seats up to 10 people, with extra seating along the perimeter. In addition to standard features, the room includes a Polycom 512MP videoconferencing unit with 384Kbps ISDN service.
Conference Room 4, 1116 Duderstadt Center
This 384-square-foot, multi-feature conference room has a table that seats up to 14 people, with additional seating available along the perimeter. In addition to standard features, the room is equipped with a kitchen, containing a refrigerator and a microwave. It also includes a Polycom VSX 7000 IP videoconferencing unit.
