Moving Image Digitization Pilot Project

Description

U-M Library is working with outside vendors to digitize fragile and deteriorating moving image recordings of high research value held in our collections. The collections include interviews and oral histories, poetry readings, lectures, and musical performances on 16mm film, Umatic, BetaCAM, VHS and other.

At present, the U-M Library has not developed a full Request for Proposal (RFP) to cover all moving image formats. Instead we are using Statements of Work (SOW) for each format respectively.
