Student Positions at the Shapiro Design Lab - 2019-20

The Shapiro Design Lab seeks applications from undergraduate and graduate students for three positions: Interns, Residents, and Program Assistants. You can find short descriptions of each position and links to the full post (including application), below. 

 

Design Lab Intern

Interns are undergraduate students who will help run the Lab on a day-to-day basis, participating in the broader learning communities of the Lab, and take on leadership roles to help grow the Lab with their own expertise, ideas, and passions. Design Lab Resident

Residents are graduate students that will work on existing and new projects developed within the Design Lab, including community and citizen science as well as audio storytelling and podcasting. In addition, they will help develop the broader communities that are part of the Design Lab through project consultations and assistance with particular equipment in the Lab. Design Lab Program Assistant

Program Assistants will help with the administration of the spaces and projects of the Lab, in conjunction with the Director and Technology + Media Production Specialist, which could include project management, communications coordination, student supervision, and stewardship of the Lab's three spaces: PIE Space, Media Production Rooms, and Workshop. Applicants must be Masters-level graduate students. For more information and the application, please see this blog post
