New Arrivals: The Notable Games Edition

Normally we have an RSS feed that does a fair job of alerting everyone whenever we get a new game in the archive, but recently there have been several arrivals that might deserve some added pomp and circumstance. So here are several games that have won the top spots in categories purely defined by me (Val):

Most sought after by a single user:

Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)

- For the one that has been asking about this game for months, that was the best celebration dance I've seen in years when this one hit our shelves.

Spent the most time uncataloged in our collection:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360)

- This game has been so popular, we made a special place for games by our desk that need to be cataloged but later, when the hype calms down a bit. But not to worry, it's now cataloged and ready to go.

Most unwieldy:

Tony Hawk: Ride (Xbox 360)

- After watching even one person play this one, I can tell that the skateboard controller is going to be one of the most awkward controllers to maneuver to date.

Best game intro:

God of War III (PS3)

- After watching the game's intro about a million times now, I can honestly tell you it's one of the niftiest intros I've seen in a long time. Guy the size of an ant (relatively speaking) invades Mt. Olympus and battles gigantic Greek gods. Sweet.

Most engaging title:

What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord? 2 (PSP)

- Without knowing anything else about the game, the title is enough to spark anyone's curiosity.

I'm sure there will be more, but there's a start.
