Have the University’s incredible collections inspired you to make creative work? The UpstART 200 archive is composed of examples from our art, design and architecture collections, holdings and history here at the University of Michigan. The project is now seeking submissions of work by students and alumni that respond to or reflect on the items in the archive, which include iconic objects like the Library’s eight volume, double elephant folio edition of John James Audubon’s Birds of America.
Student and alumni-generated response pieces will be collected and exhibited online as part of the UpstART 200 archive throughout the Bicentennial period as well as at events and in exhibition spaces. The best juried pieces will be added permanently to the archive.
