Engineering Books Move

The College of Engineering, the Library, and the Duderstadt Center made a joint decision to move the engineering books to offsite storage and make them available exclusively by delivery through the Library’s delivery service. Most of the engineering books the Library collects in print are also available electronically. Get in touch with a librarian for help by visiting the service desk on Level 2 or online via Ask a Librarian.

Call for Submissions: UpstART 200

Have the University’s incredible collections inspired you to make creative work? The UpstART 200 archive is composed of examples from our art, design and architecture collections, holdings and history here at the University of Michigan. The project is now seeking submissions of work by students and alumni that respond to or reflect on the items in the archive.

New Book Displays for May

The Art and Science of Sound sign

There are two new book displays on the 2nd floor lobby area of the Duderstadt Center. In anticipation of the Wonder Woman movie coming out on June 2nd, we have a graphic novel display highlighting the history of the character in comics. The other display is entitled "The Art and Science of Sound" and features books discussing the nature of sound, sound studio production, and sound in art.

Financial literacy display

We have new book displays in the 2nd floor Duderstadt Center lobby area! Since it's Financial Literacy Month, we decided to highlight several books from our collection related to this theme, including titles like The Lovely Horrible Stuff: My Book About Money and Arts & numbers: a financial guide for artists, writers, performers, and other members of the creative class.
