We are currently featuring two new book displays in the lobby on the second floor of the Duderstadt Center. The first one is a comics display that features Marvel characters from the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movie coming out in the next few days. The other display highlights books in the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library collection that feature the element of Earth, in recognition of Earth Month this month.
For our March book displays, we decided to highlight books in the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library collection that have to do with fire, whether it be volcanoes, fire in Australian art, or the art of clay creations made with fire. Our comics display this month highlights graphic novels that feature vampire characters, whether it be Dracula himself or the many nemeses of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
If you need a study break, take a moment to check out our book displays on the 2nd floor of the Duderstadt Center for February. To commemorate African American History Month, our first display highlights comics that feature African American heroes and other characters. We also have a display that highlights books related to advertising in the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library collection.
The engineering librarians at the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library are pleased to announce that some engineering textbooks for the Winter 2018 term are available to you in full text online through Library subscriptions. We have two new book displays available in the 2nd floor lobby of the Duderstadt Center. The first display is called "All Things Writing," and includes books on writing content in many contexts, including resumes, exams, web pages, architecture books, and others. The second display highlights several of the comics in our graphic novel collection, with a theme of the Justice League.
We have a couple of new book displays set up in the lobby on the 2nd floor of the Duderstadt Center. To celebrate Halloween, we have a "Things That Go Bump in the Night" display to show off some of our spookier graphic novel and art books. We also have a new graphic novels display highlighting Disney characters and stories.
Letterpress is hypnotic, addictive, and a little messy. Master wood engraver and letterpress expert Jim Horton joins the Book Arts Studio in the Duderstadt Center each Friday to run Letterpress Open Studio from 1-4.
