We have redesigned our bulletin board to include a couple of new feature sections, including "Staff Picks" and "Featured Board Game." Our staff picks for this round are Final Fantasy X (PS2), Star Wars Tie Fighter (DOS), and Chronocross (PS), all of which are available to play in the archive. The board game we chose to feature first is Forbidden Island, a fun cooperative game that is easy and quick to set up, teach new players, and play through in a limited amount of time.

Igor Sikorsky, the brilliant aviation designer and founder of Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, was born on this day in 1889.
The CVGA was featured today in an AnnArbor.com article entitled "U-M computer and video game archive has lofty goal: Collect every game ever made." In it, our founder Dave Carter describes our purpose and goals for the archive.The article also got a mention on FARK.com, complete with lively and colorful comments about the games that we should have in our collection.
As you know, there are changes coming here at the Taubman Health Sciences Library. We want to keep you in the loop and make it easy for you to find information about those changes. We will be using the logo on the left to mark blog posts, web pages, digital displays, and signs that have information about what's going on in the building and on the progress of our renovation.
One of the challenges of new media art has been its preservation: works are often dependent upon technology that moves from cutting-edge to obsolete. The Rhizome ArtBase aims to counter the evanescence of this digital underpinning, and since 1999 has preserved over 2,500 art works.
