Next steps in the building renovation plan

With the academic year behind us, we turn our attention to 2013-14 and the major construction project that will begin later this year. In December, we will beginthe renovation of the A. Alfred Taubman Health Sciences Library building. The entire library building will close in mid-December 2013. When construction is complete, the library building will be better equipped to handle the demands of 21st Century education.

Work and Play in Video Games

Thomas Was Alone ad

Yesterday, the archive hosted an English 298 class entitled "The Games We Play." Students played a number of our games that were puzzle-oriented (most of them also included utopian/dystopian themes), and then presented what they learned as they discussed how their game incorporates the concepts of work and play.

Active Learning Panel

Critically Reflective Teacher

Instructor College hosted an Active Learning Panel on May 24, 2013. Thirty librarians attended and heard from five colleagues, each of whom demonstrated an active learning exercise used in instruction. Colleagues presented on various tools and techniques they use to more actively engage their students.
