Borrowing and Circulation has information about general policies regarding borrowing items.

Library items can be renewed in "My Account" unless another borrower has requested the item. Reserve books, career books and recalled books may not be renewed. Learn how to renew a book from the Borrowing and Circulation page on renewals.
Recalls occur when another patron requests an item that is already checked out. When a book is recalled borrowers will receive a recall notice via email. The recalled book is due on the date listed after the new recall due date, in that notice and in your account.
Return recalled books directly to a library information services desk, or to the outside drop box if the library is closed. Return DVDs and CD-ROMs to a service desk at any library.
Borrowing privileges are suspended if a recalled item is not returned by the recall due date. In addition, a $2.00 per day per item fine is assessed to all student borrowers.
See the Borrowing and Circulation policy on fines for more information.
|Overdue Recall||$2.00 per day|
|Lost Book||Cost of book (or default price of $100.00) plus $50.00 processing fee|
Borrowing privileges are suspended when an item becomes 30 days overdue. Privileges are restored when the item is renewed or returned. This applies to all borrowers.
