As the Government Documents Registry Analyst, I am working on a project to create a metadata registry of U.S. federal documents, which involves the gathering, analyzing, and creation of metadata for the comprehensive corpus of U.S. federal government materials (no, it doesn't already exist!). My position is unique in several ways, but most notably because I am primarily a remote employee of the University, based in Maryland.
I have worked as a government information librarian in several universities of varying sizes, including the University of Alabama, where I served as a Regional Depository Librarian. I earned a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park.
