Suzanne Chapman

About

Suzanne Chapman is head of the MLibrary's new User Experience (UX) Department. The User Experience Department supports the interface design and user research/usability, web use analysis, accessibility, and mobile development needs for the Library Information Technology Department. Suzanne is also the chair of the Library's Usability Group, the HathiTrust User Experience Advisory Group and a member of the Library Web Team, Public Access Resource Committee (PARC), Mobile Committee, Senior Managers, Assessment Special Interest Group, and the campus-wide Web Accessibility Working Group.

Prior to her current position, Suzanne was the Interface and User Testing Specialist for the University of Michigan’s Digital Library Production Service where she was responsible for the design, development, accessibility, and usability evaluation of  Digital Library eXtension Service (DLXS) interfaces and the HathiTrust Digital Library. 

Background

Suzanne has an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts Photography from Ohio University and a Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan’s School of Information.
