Assists and instruct users in the use of reference-level information resources (in person, by telephone, via email, or other communication methods). Handles or refers as appropriate a broad range of user questions about library services and facilitites.
I have worked at the Stacks office (Graduate Library), Acquisitions (Graduate Library), Interlibrary Loan and Circulation (Medical Library), Circulation, Reserves and Technical Processing (Dentistry Library), Circulation, Reserves, Technical Processing and Stacks at the Public Health Library, and currently I work at the Taubman Health Sciences Library as an Informationist Associate.
Handles transactions and questions from users about circulation policies and procedures. Handles advanced Aleph data entry for circulation, reserves, acquisitions, and/or cataloguing modules.
Participates in and supports print reserves, website development and maintenance, collections, and other special projects.
Participates in setting both short-and long-term goals for the department. Suggests special projects for evaluation and implementation.
Partners with informationists to achieve library goals in Enabling Technologies, Academic and Clinical Engagement, Research and Informatics, Collections, Global Health, and Outreach. Works with other supervisors, other Information Services staff, and informationists, both within and outside of the Health Sciences Library and NCRC.
Represents Information Services and the Taubman Health Sciences Library on appropriate University Library and University committees and working groups.
