Background

Prior to joining the Library, I worked as a bioinformatician in both industry and academia. I have a background in programming, data mining, and machine learning, and have a strong interest in knowledge preservation.  I also have an specific interest in digitizing Tibetan texts.  

Responsibilities

 Primarily responsible for development and maintenance of the Print Holdings Database (PHDB) for HathiTrust, a repository of information on the items the various members of HathiTrust hold in print.  The primary role of the database is to implement the new HathiTrust cost model, which shares the cost of in-copyright items amonst members who hold those items in print.  Another function of the database is to support special access privileges for certain items that are specific to individual member institutions.
