Marcy Toon
About
With degrees in librarianship and guidance and counseling, I love working with a group of very talented people as we provide access to the varied and ever fascinating collections of our library. My primary responsibility is to supervise support staff in the accomplishment of the day-to-day tasks of running the Special Collections Library.
Background
When I first began working at the Graduate Library, I did medical indexing for MITS. Prior to joining Special Collections, I worked in Preservation on the reformatting and replacement of brittle books. I have a background in public librarianship and continue to substitute as a reference librarian at the Ypsilanti District Library.
Responsibilities
I'm an overall problem solver whether it's identifying needed stashes of space, interpreting MIRLYN for the mystified, or finding a misplaced book.
