Background

I have managed academic and corporate media services departments at Wayne State University and General Motors. I have many years of experience as a videographer, editor, sound engineer, and audiovisual technician. I have worked in different capacities in television, film, theatre, and radio.

Recently: Blogging, video editing for YouTube uploads with Final Cut Pro 7, Premiere Pro, PhotoShop, Garage Band and Sound Booth

My interests include technology, broadcast and print media (editing and Kindle Publishing), design, art, business development, management and dogs.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily operations of the department. Over see the smooth distribution of Course Reserves and items from our huge collection of media (Blu-rays, DVDs, Video tapes, 16mm films, Audio  Books). Ensure timely delivery of requested items. Supervise full time and student staff. Maintain Askwith Media Library's mission to support and enhance teaching and learning.

Operate, schedule and troubleshoot 2160 Shapiro Screening Room

Strive to provide the finest customer service for the University Community. Offer insight to our collection to help research and refine requests from faculty, staff and students.

I have the honor of serving on the Library Diversity Council, Customer Service Team and the Operations Web Review Team.
