Background

As a Learning Design Librarian, my focus is on program design for places that foster "connected learning".  I am particularly interested in understanding how "active learning" can be described differently in higher ed than in K12,  how that learning activity has changed as digital technologies have become ubiquitous, and how the library's role has changed and can continue to change, in response.

I have the opportunity to explore those themes intensively with students, staff, and faculty members through the Digital Media Common's experimental learning spaces in the Duderstadt Center:  Design Lab 1 and Design Lab 3.
