As a Desktop Support Specialist in the Department of Desktop Support Services, I provide technology support to the University Libraries. I am also Lead Contact for an exciting initiative to provide computing support to the William L. Clements Library.
My support duties include troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues, database conversion, developing and conducting training for emerging technologies.
I have a background in history and libraries. I have been in library positions doing shelving, circulation, reference, acquisitions, and administration before evolving into the IT field. This diverse background gives me the advantage of knowing what many of the units I support do on a day-to-day basis so that I may serve them better.
