Karen Jordan

Director, Programming and Community Engagement

About

Karen Jordan is the Exhibits and Outreach Librarian for the University Library.  In this role, she is responsible for collaborating with campus and community partners to develop an exhibits and events program designed to enrich the cultural and intellectual life of the University and the broader community.

The Exhibits and Outreach Programs include venues for displaying some of the Library's rich treasures, hosting lectures and presentations all reflecting the dynamic life of the University and community.

Background

Karen earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Michigan.  She received a Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Chinese Studies and an AMLS from the School of Library Science (now the School of Information). 

Before joining the UM Library, Karen worked at the School of Information; the UM Alumni Association and Personal Bibliographic Software, Inc. as well as at Information Consultants and the Ann Arbor Public Library.
