I work in the Hatcher and Shapiro libraries as an instructional technologist. I provide a variety multimedia consultation and assistance to patrons at the Scholarspace. I help create learning objects and other video and multimedia projects such as screencasts for the library department.
I attended James A. Rhodes State College and Bowling Green State University to earn my Associate in Digital Media Technology and Bachelor in Visual Communication Technology. I continued my education at the Bowling Green State University by earning my Master of Education in Learning Design. My graduate studies centered on e-learning, personal learning environments and modules, and learning styles and theories. I am knowledgeable in many areas including video, photography, videography, web development, printing and design, as well as instructional design.
Work in the library's Scholarspace and provide multimedia support for students, staff, and faculty, such one-on-one consultations for visual arts or video software and other multimedia needs.
Instruct and aid with open and course-integrated multimedia workshops for UM students, staff, and faculty.
Create instructional materials for the UM Library, including screencasts, research guides, and e-learning modules.
Serve on the Shapiro Lobby Team to assist in design, scheduling, and curation of content for the digital screens in the Shapiro Lobby.
Serve on the Library Diversity Council to help facilitate discussion, events, and outrach to achieve diversity goals.
