Joseph Pratt
About
Joseph Pratt is in charge of the day to day operations of the following library services:
1) Mass deacidification: Retreiving, sorting, preparing and sending books to be deacidified.
2) Enviromental monitoring of U-M Library collection spaces and maintenance of data collection files for this project.
3) Measuring damaged or unrepairable books and fitting them to boxes that will contain them when they are on the shelf.
Background
Mr. Pratt's training is in molecular biology and music. He has worked at U-M Library for 20 years during which time he has become aqainted with many tasks done at the U-M Library Department of Preservation and Conservation.
