Betsy Williams
Background
I graduated from Williams College with majors in History and German, have a MA in American Culture from the University of Michigan, and completed all requirements but the dissertation for a Ph.D. in American Culture. I have worked for MLibrary for over ten years, and have also taught for five semesters as an adjunct lecturer in business communication for the UM Ross School of Business.
Responsibilities
At the Shapiro Science Library, I provided all levels of reference, wrote user guides and training manuals, and taught classes for the library. At AAEL I serve as one of the Late Night Technicians, providing basic circulation services, helping patrons to access library materials and building resources, and assisting with equipment maintenance and library operations. I currently serve on the Staff Development Committee and create screencast videos for the Library.
