Anne Kathleen Beaubien
Anne provides leadership for Interlibrary Loan, 7FAST, and MLDD Delivery which delivers books and scanned articles to users on campus and at other institutions. She also is responsible for the Health Sciences Remote Storage Facility.
Anne has had a variety of roles at the University Library including reference, instruction, and budget officer and has taught in the School of Information. She created MITS in 1980 and 7FAST in 1985. Anne was President of the Association of College & Research Libraries 1991-1992. Anne helped create the Instruction Section in ACRL and the STARS Section in RUSA of the American Library Assocaition. She helped create the Rehinking Resource Sharing Initiative and is past chair of the Rethinking Resource Sharing Steering Committee (an international group). Anne has a B.A. in social sciences from Michigan State University and an A.M.L.S. from the University of Michigan.
Anne serves on several library committees including Senior Managers and Library Collections Division Managers. Anne is chair of the CIC (Big Ten) Interlibrary Loan Directors and on the implementation group for the UBorrow program that allows users from the Big Ten universities to borrow books directly from each other.
