Do you need to find articles and don't know where to begin?
The UGL reference desk staff suggest you start with one or more of these databases.
- ProQuest - covers many topics, has both popular magazine and scholarly journal articles.
- InfoTrac OneFile - similar to ProQuest; it is a good idea to try both
- PsycInfo - scholarly, useful for more than just psychology
- Web of Science - scholarly, not just science, includes humanities and social sciences
- Literature Resource Center - literary criticism and biography
- PubMed - easy to use version of Medline for health topics
- CQ Researcher - in-depth, non-biased coverage of political and social issues in the news
- NewsBank - newspapers from around the world
- LexisNexis - more newspapers, broadcast transcripts, news wires
- Reader's Guide Retro - magazine articles from 1890-1982
