These links lead to a few of the primary online resources available to you through University Library.

Mirlyn
Search University Library holdings in all formats (books, journals, pamphlets, sound recordings, videos,etc.).
To find items, note library location(s) and call number.
Does not include magazine and journal articles.

Search Tools
Search Tools is your customizable portal to UM library databases, indexes, networked electronic resources, e-journals, web resources, and catalogs. Use the Quick Search to cross-search a few pre-selected e-resources in eleven broad subject areas. Use Find Databases to connect to databases, indexes, encyclopedias, ebook collections and other resources by browsing an alphabetical list or searching by an e-resource name. The UGL reference staff offers our top ten databases that we recommend for beginning research.

RefWorks
Allows users to create personal citation databases by importing references from text files or online databases. Also facilitates manuscript preparation, allowing for automatic formatting of the paper and the bibliography. (Requires personal registration.).

ProQuest Research Library
Indexes 2,300+ academic and popular journal titles, many in full text, plus business journals and newspapers. Some full-text plus links to U-M holdings using SFX.

Academic OneFile
Provides indexing for over 8,000 scholarly and general interest journals and newspapers, with full text articles included for over 4,200 of them. Links to U-M holdings using SFX.


RESEARCH RESOURCES:
These links give you some information about how to judge whether a resource is worth using for your paper, and how to cite your resources both within your paper and in your works cited page.
Plagiarism You can learn how to make sure that you cite your resources correctly.
Evaluating a Web Page You can use these criteria to see if your web page will be acceptable for your course assignments.
