Project Description / Requesting Texts
Institutions and commercial publishers are welcome to request
individual texts from TCP for local projects and use providing
such a request adheres to the guidelines below and they complete
a request
form TCP will review requests
on a case by case basis.
TCP does not generally allow individuals
unaffiliated with an institution to download or purchase individual
texts for personal use. If you would like to use TCP and are not
affiliated with a partner
institution please contact the
library of the partner institution nearest you and ask about their
walk-in user policy.
TCP Guidelines For Rights of Use
For Partner Institutions:
1. TCP will allow complete electronic distribution of texts to
other partner institutions
2. TCP will allow partial electronic distribution of texts to
non-partner institutions
3. TCP will allow complete print distribution of texts
4. If members of faculty wish other editions (that fall outside
of the selection
guidelines)TCP will charge $2 per page for creation
of the text (cost of production)
5. TCP will consult with publisher involved (ProQuest)
For non-partner institutions
1. TCP will not allow any use or distribution of texts
2. Non-partners will be encouraged to participate in TCP before
further cooperative agreements are reached
3. TCP will not allow scholars to buy individual texts until their
institutions have become TCP partners
For publishers
1. TCP will require permission of publisher involved (ProQuest,
Readex, Gale, etc.)
2. TCP will allow print distribution of text
3. TCP may allow partial electronic distribution
4. TCP will charge $4 per page for distribution of any text
