The National Criminal Justice Reference Service Abstracts Database contains summaries of more than 185,000 publications including: Federal, State, and local government reports; books; research reports; journal articles; and unpublished research. Twelve core periodicals are comprehensively abstracted, and many more periodicals are routinely examined. Subject areas include corrections, courts, drugs, law enforcement, juvenile justice, crime statistics, domestic preparedness, and victims.

Indexing & authors' abstracts for 90% of doctoral dissertations and some masters theses accepted each year in the United States and Canada (since 1861), plus thousands more from Great Britain and Ireland (since 1716), and selected other universities around the world (as far back as 1637).  Includes full-text (in PDF) of most* dissertations submitted at University of Michigan and the 13 other CIC/Big Ten Universities since 1997.

Provides analysis of members of Congress, their legislative voting behavior, interest groups, and their interactions in crafting public policy. Also explains institutional and organizational history, the legislative process, and public policy decision-making.

Describes most dissertations filed at University of Michigan, with full text for most* since 1997.  A subset of the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses database.

Note:  Since 2012, the University of Michigan requires the full text of all new dissertations to be deposited in its institutional repository Deep Blue, which therefore is the most complete repository for dissertations filed at U-M in 2012 and thereafter.  Since 2008, deposit of the full text of newly filed dissertations with ProQuest has been optional and not required if deposit has been made into Deep Blue.

The MEDLINE database is widely recognized as the premier source for bibliographic and abstract coverage of biomedical literature. MEDLINE encompasses information from Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature, and International Nursing, as well as other sources of coverage in the areas of allied health, biological and physical sciences, humanities and information science as they relate to medicine and health care, communication disorders, population biology, and reproductive biology.

ProQuest Congressional (previously called LexisNexis Congressional) indexes and abstracts Congressional committee publications, including hearings, committee prints, reports, documents, and public laws. It includes the full text of reports and documents (1789-1969), bills and resolutsion (1789-present), hearings (1824-), Congressional Record (1985-1997), CRS Reports (1916-present), Statutes at Large (1789-), bill text (1989-) and Federal Register (1980-) as well as the Serial Set (1789-), the current U.S. Code and the Code of Federal Regulations.

Provides full-text access to a wide range of news, business, legal, and reference information, including hundreds of U.S. and foreign newspapers, legal and business publications, wire services, broadcast media transcripts, and trade/news magazines.

1980 - (but varies by title) Over 5,900 news, business, legal, medical, and reference publications.
