Alternative Titles
Bibliographie d'histoire de l'art, BHA
Répertoire de la litterature de l'art, RILA
Description

The name BHA has been used informally to refer to a group of databases: RAA, RILA, BHA, and IBA. The data available on the Getty Web site comprises two of these databases: BHA and RILA. BHA (Bibliography of the History of Art/Bibliographie d'histoire de l'art) covers the years 1990-2007; the Getty Web version includes all records with abstracts in French or English and all subject terms in French and English.  RILA (Répertoire de la litterature de l'art) covers 1975-1989.  At present, the Getty has no plans to add RAA (Répertoire d'art et d'archéologie), which covers 1973-1989.  IBA (International Bibliography of Art), covering 2008 to the present, is a separate subscription-only database from ProQuest that is not included on this free website provided by Getty.

Center for Research Libraries Online Catalog

Alternative Titles
Center for Research Libraries
CRL
Description

The Center for Research Libraries (CRL) is a consortium of North American universities, colleges, and independent research libraries. The consortium acquires and preserves newspapers, journals, dissertations, government documents, archives, microfilm, and other traditional and digital resources for research and teaching and makes them available to member institutions through interlibrary loan and electronic delivery (MLibrary is a member of CRL). Most of CRL's new acquisitions are from outside the United States, and many are from five "emerging" regions of the world: Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Latin America.

Although interlibrary loan access is limited to U-M affiliated persons, the CRL Online Catalog, however, is open to all users.

The CRL Online Catalog is a partial list of their library and digital holdings. The catalog allows searching within specific collections, including:

International Medieval Bibliography (IMB)

Alternative Titles
IMB
Brepolis
Description

The International Medieval Bibliography was founded in 1967 with the support of the Medieval Academy of America, with the aim of providing a comprehensive, current bibliography of articles in journals and miscellany volumes (conference proceedings, essay collections or Festschriften) worldwide. Its editorial staff is based at the Institute for Medieval Studies at the University of Leeds, and the project is supported by over 50 teams of contributors in Europe, North America, Australia and Japan.

The IMB offers an unparalleled tool for medievalists to identify the contents of current work published throughout Europe, the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region.

The discipline areas to which the IMB is relevant include Classics, English Language and Literature, History and Archaeology, Theology and Philosophy, Medieval European Languages and Literatures, Arabic and Islamic Studies, History of Education, Art History, Music, Theatre and Performance Arts, Rhetoric and Communication Studies.

A controlled vocabulary: A hierarchical index offers an integrated tree structure comprising some 1,500 subject terms. This allows the user to navigate from nine major conceptual areas through to the specific subject terminology employed in medieval scholarship. A parallel index of places allows step-by-step navigation from major geographical areas to over 50,000 different names of places, regions and geographical features in Europe, North Africa and the Near East.
