Provides access to 5 resources useful for historical & genealogical research on the US & Canada: 1) photoreproductions of the original data sheets from the 1790-1930 U.S. federal censuses, with extensive indexing; 2) digitized versions of 22,000+ books (genealogies, local histories, tax lists, city directories, probate records, etc) from all 50 US states and Canada; 3) PERSI (PERiodical Subject Index), a comprehensive subject index covering 6,500+ genealogy and local history periodicals written in English and French (Canada) since 1800; 4) Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Application Files of 80,000+ individuals who served in that war; and 5) Freedman's Bank Records, documenting 105,000+ freed African American slaves and over 480,000 of their dependants and heirs.

Indexes over 425 scholarly and popular music periodicals from more than twenty countries, plus full text for around 140 journals. The database currently includes over 770,000 article records, the majority of which are journal articles from 1996 onward. Around 200,000 index records in IIMP Full Text are from the backfile (up to 1995) and much of this coverage commences at the first issue of the journal run, some starting as early as 1874.

IIMP Full Text covers a comprehensive range of subject areas in both scholarly and popular music journals ranging from International Journal of Music Education, Ethnomusicology, Jazz Education Journal and Musical Times to Rock and Rap Confidential and Rolling Stone. Articles examine the full spectrum of subjects and all aspects of music, including music education, performance, ethnomusicology, musical theatre, theory, popular music forms and composition. You can find articles on a diverse array of musical genres, from the liturgical chants of medieval monks to the eclectic sounds of contemporary alternative rock musicians.

The Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects (DARE) is the only database to contain abstracts of systematic reviews that have been quality-assessed.  Each abstract includes a summary of the review together with a critical commentary about the overall quality.  DARE is a key resource can be used for answering questions about the effects of specific interventions, whether such questions arise from practice or when making policy. DARE covers a broad range of health related interventions and thousands of abstracts of reviews in fields as diverse as diagnostic tests, public health, health promotion, pharmacology, surgery, psychology, and the organization and delivery of health care.  DARE complements the CDSR by quality-assessing and summarizing reviews that have not yet been carried out by The Cochrane Collaboration.

Provides full-text access to the archives of core scholarly journals in the arts, humanities, social sciences and sciences. Includes content from ten of the eleven JSTOR multi-disciplinary Journals Archives Collections (Arts & Sciences I through IX; and Life Sciences) and nearly all of the JSTOR discipline-specific Journals Archives Collections (Biological Sciences, Business I and II, Ecology & Botany, Health & General Sciences, Language & Literature, Mathematics & Statistics, and Music).

In addition, JSTOR now also includes the full text of current issues (up to the latest issue) for selected journals from selected publishers, including the University of Chicago Press.

Please note: U-M does not currently have access to the following JSTOR Journals Archives Collections: Arts & Sciences X (ten); Ireland; and Business III.

Dates of coverage vary by journal title. All go back to the very first issue published, but most have a "moving wall" embargo that excludes issues from the most recent X years (where X can be anywhere from 0 up to 10 years, depending on the particular journal; most are in the 3 to 5 year embargo range).
