Dissertations & Theses @ University of Michigan
Describes most dissertations filed at University of Michigan, with full text for most* since 1997. A subset of the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses database.
Note: Since 2012, the University of Michigan requires the full text of all new dissertations to be deposited in its institutional repository Deep Blue, which therefore is the most complete repository for dissertations filed at U-M in 2012 and thereafter. Since 2008, deposit of the full text of newly filed dissertations with ProQuest has been optional and not required if deposit has been made into Deep Blue.
*Authors of dissertations have the right to restrict access to the full text of their dissertation from all ProQuest databases and document delivery services if they so choose. (They also have the right to restrict access in U-M's Deep Blue repository for up to three years after the dissertation is filed.) Some publishers recommend or require blocking of access to the full text of a dissertation as a condition of publishing a revised version of a dissertation as a scholarly book.
