WorldImages
Description
WorldImages provides access to the California State University IMAGE Project. It contains over 60,000 images, is global in coverage and includes all areas of visual imagery. WorldImages is accessible anywhere and its images may be freely used for non-profit educational purposes. The images can be located using many search techniques, and for convenience they are organized into some 600 portfolios which are then organized into subject groupings.

Early Detroit Images from the Burton Historical Collection of the Detroit Public Library
Description
The Library of Michigan Digitization for Preservation and Access Grant was awarded to the Detroit Public Library in 2005. The grant allowed for the creation of a digital database of 19th century and pre-1922 photographs of Detroit. The formats include glass negatives, lanternslides, cased images, albumen prints and stereograph cards from the Detroit Public Library's Burton Historical Collection. These images illustrate the social and cultural history of Detroit as well as document the historical events that have occurred in the city.
