We Make Health Fest: Free event of health themed design and maker activities for the whole family!

The We Make Health Fest is an event focused on health, technology, and participatory (patient-centered) design, that will take place at University of Michigan. The event will be PARTICIPATORY. The purpose is for the COMMUNITY to share their personal stories, Do-It-Yourself Technologies, and creations for managing health. We plan to have booths, speakers, and demonstrations.
FREE and open to the public.
Jose Gomez Marquez from the Little Devices Lab at MIT and John Costik, type 1 diabetes hacker, father, community collaborator, and innovator for the #wearenotwaiting movement! What can we say, this event is going to be awesome!
Makers the Movie Screening
We are also excited to report that we will be holding a screening of "Maker", a feature-length documentary on the Maker Movement and its impact on society, culture and economy in the US during the fest.
Booths and Speakers
A partial sampling of topics: DIY Medical Devices, hack your kitchen, open source mosquito traps, asthma monitoring, DIY hearing aids, autism comic book, 3D printing, kitchen table diagnostics, tech-savvy fitness, urban foraging, stair-climbing wheelchair, and using the iPad as a resuscitation device.
