Terri Geitgey is the Manager of Library Print Services, responsible for the development and implementation of print programs and sales within the University of Michigan Library. This includes developing and coordinating all aspects of the production and sale of reprints from the Library's collection, as well as the creation of services and programs utilizing the Library's Espresso Book Machine. In addition to managing the existing print on demand and EBM services, she is responsible for recommending and developing new services for the campus that take advantage of the Library's capacity to produce print books. She received a BA in English from the Ohio State University, and an MLS from Indiana University.

Kevin Hawkins is the Head of Digital Publishing Production: part librarian, part programmer, part editor, and part project manager. He is responsible for SPO's standardized workflow for the conversion of born-digital scholarly literature (and some literature reformatted from print) to standard file formats (XML and TIFF) for long-term preservation and output in various media. He has worked at SPO since early 2004, except for two leaves of absence: one to accept a Fulbright grant to work with digital libraries in Russia and another to accept a temporary position with the Digital Humanities Observatory, a project of the Royal Irish Academy. Kevin has BAs in Russian and linguistics from the University of Maryland and an MS in library and information science from the University of Illinois. For more, see Kevin's website.

Korey Jackson, Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) Postdoctoral Fellow, is currently working in the Publishing Services & Outreach division on a range of humanities-related publishing initiatives and programs. Korey holds a PhD in English from the University of Michigan. After defending his dissertation in July 2010, he was a Lecturer in the UM English Department, teaching courses on writing, poetry, and historical and science fiction. His research interests include dialect literature and the history of language study in the U.S.

Seth Johnson, Programmer/Analyst, creates workflow tools and solutions to streamline many of SPO's processes. He received his BA from Antioch College.

Alix Keener, Digital Conversion Assistant, is currently working on the conversion of print books to digital formats for the American Council of Learned Societies’ Humanities E-Book project. She has a BA in both communication studies and English from the University of Michigan. Alix works jointly at the University of Michigan Press on their digital publishing projects.

Shana Kimball is Head of Publishing Services, Outreach & Strategic Development. She is broadly responsible for representing and promoting the capacity of MPublishing to the University of Michigan campus, potential external partners, and beyond. She recommends, develops and pilots new services and imprints, and assists in creating plans for locating those imprints and services permanently in MPublishing. Shana is also the editor of The Journal of Electronic Publishing. She received her MA in English literature from the University of Michigan, and a BA in English from Pennsylvania State University. Jeremy Morse, Head of the Publishing Technology Group, manages a team of programmers in developing and supporting the software that enables the Library's publishing efforts. Before coming to Michigan, he worked for several years at Northwestern University Library, first reorganizing the United Nations collection as an undergrad in Government Documents, then managing the Reserves Collection and serving as Digital Preservation Specialist.

Natsuko Hayashi Nicholls, Research Area Specialist Associate, works on textbook initiatives. In 2009, she conducted a year-long study to examine and assess a wide variety of roles the Library can play in increasing textbook affordability for the Michigan scholarly community. More recently, she has been engaged with the campus and library community in testing out and implementing new service possibilities to create better and more affordable access to textbooks for Michigan students. She has a PhD in political science (2004) from the University of Michigan.

Carrick Rogers, Application Developer, ingests various electronic documents and converts them to XML. Before joining MPublishing, he was an applications programmer for the University of Michigan Cancer Center. He has a BA in political science from the University of Michigan.

Bryan Smith, Programmer/Analyst, supports infrastructure for journal and monograph publication. Before his current position, he was a software developer in Biological Chemistry at the University of Michigan. He received his BS in psychology from the College of William & Mary and his BS in computer science from Eastern Michigan University.

Rebecca Welzenbach, Text Creation Partnership Project Outreach Librarian, contributes to SPO's text conversion workflows and manages projects such as the The American Influenza Epidemic of 1918: A Digital Encyclopedia and the ingest of the UM Press backfile into the Hathi Trust. She has her BA in English Literature from Illinois Wesleyan University and her MSI from UM’s School of Information. Since she is interested in both the digital and the medieval, it is fitting that she’s also involved with the activities of Digital Medievalist.

Kelly Witchen, Digital Publishing Assistant, converts various scholarly materials to digital format. She received a BA in English from Ohio State University.
