Social Work Library: Library Reserves Tool in CTools

Library Reserves Tool in CTools

Do you use CTools and have items on reserve at the library? If so, try out the new Library Reserves tool. A collaborative effort between the University Library and CTools, this new tool provides easy access to reserves information for your students.

The Library Reserves tool provides a direct link to library course reserves within a course in CTools. If an instructor has items on reserve at the library, editing the tools menu will activate the Library Reserves tool. If there are no items on reserve at the library and the Library Reserves tool is selected, a message will appear indicating that there are no reserve materials available. An instructor can request items be put on reserve at the library by contacting the Social Work Library at social.work.library@umich.edu.

Adding the Library Reserves Tool:

1. Using the tabs or pull down menu at the top of the window, select the course to which to add the Library Reserves tool.

2. Select Site Info from the list of tools in left column.
