Group Study Room Policy
There are two group study rooms (B772 and B792) in the Social Work Library
that are available for use by School of Social Work students, staff and
faculty. [See map.]
As in all areas of the library, food and uncovered drinks are not allowed in
these rooms.
- These rooms are available on a reservation basis to individuals
in the School of Social Work. Priority is given for groups of three or more
persons for group discussions and projects. The rooms are available for two-hour
periods during regular
library hours of operation. If a group does not arrive for its room reservation
within 20 minutes of the reserved time, another group may reserve that room.
Please arrive promptly for your reservation. Those interested in reserving
a room should speak with library
staff at the service desk, or should send a message to social.work.library@umich.edu.
(Please present your Mcard at the service desk or include your Mcard barcode
number in your email request, to place a reservation.)
- One of the group study rooms has video viewing equipment (B772), for the
purpose of viewing SSW course-related videos. Room B792 is equipped with
a computer, designed for MSW students to practice Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
For these special uses, exception is made to the "group" reservation rule.
- Please keep these rooms in good condition, and be considerate of the groups
who will follow you. Pick up waste paper, library materials, personal belongings,
etc. Return chairs to their proper places, logoff the practice computer,
and remember to shut off the video equipment. Please promptly report equipment
problems to library staff.
Thank you for your cooperation!
