Academic Universe: Lexis-Nexis U-M Restricted Database
Search for current affairs, articles, and legal aspects pertaining to child abuse. Try a keyword search for specific terms, such as child abuse, child neglect, child battering, etc. For more information, consult the library research guide Academic Universe on the Web.
Child Abuse, Child Welfare & Adoption Database U-M Restricted Database
Either do a keyword search, including the term child abuse, or click on the Thesaurus button and enter child abuse in the Thesaurus field to retrieve a list of related terms. For tips on using this database, see the library's Guide to searching Biblioline Databases.
Child Welfare Information Gateway
Search the Gateway Library. Try using search terms such as child abuse or child neglect. Also available are the Publications Search and the State Statutes Search.
Congressional Universe U-M Restricted Database
Search for Congressional committee publications concerning child abuse, including hearings (testimony), committee prints, reports, documents, and public laws. It also includes the full text and status of bills, selected testimony, regulations. Try a subject search using the CIS Index and use the term child abuse with another subject term. Doing a search for the words anywhere, type in child abuse in de. (De is the abbreviation for the descriptor field.) This will bring up articles with child abuse as a subject heading. UM-Medsearch U-M Restricted Database
Search MEDLINE and associated databases for abused children or child abuse. To retrieve fulltext articles, enter the fulltext databases listed at the end of the UM-Medsearch database list. PubMed is an alternative interface for Medline.
WilsonSelect U-M Restricted Database
is available through FirstSearch. Do a descriptor or subject search for abusedchildren or child abuse.
