Library staff will not reveal the names of individual borrowers nor will staff reveal what books are checked out to any individual, according to the privacy policy of the University Library.

Books loaned for 3 weeks, 8 weeks or for the Term may be renewed unless a hold or recall request has been placed for another borrower. AV materials may be renewed once. Items borrowed for 4 hours may not be renewed.

Overdue fines are charged for overdue recalled items ($2 per day) and overdue 4 hour materials ($1 per hour).

Only books from the Social Work Library General Collection can be requested for pickup at another location through the Library to Library Delivery Service. Other libraries also restrict this service to regularly circulating books. Materials obtained through Library to Library Delivery Service retain the borrowing and renewal policies of the owning library, regardless of pickup location.

For more information on borrowing privileges, see Borrowing Privileges for the U-M Community.

*Reserves and bound journals borrowed within 4 hours of closing will be due 1 hour after opening the next day.
