The Shapiro Instructional Lab (room 4041) is located next door to the University Library Instructional Center. This space, formerly the School of Information DIAD Computer Lab, opened in January 2011 as a combination instructional and computing site.
Using a room divider, the front half of the lab is used for teaching and learning, with 18 Windows machines, an instructor station, and projector - the door is locked unless in use. The back half of the lab is an open computing site, with 12 Macs and an Ergopod, and can be accessed by the back door (in the stacks, near the restrooms).
The machines in the lab are SITES computers with the SITES loadset - for more information, please see the SITES website.
