Services for Patrons with Disabilities: Music Library

Staff Assistance
Music Library staff is available at the following location to provide information and assistance as needed to all patrons:

Building Entrances
There is wheelchair access to the Moore building at the Macintosh Theater entrance, just off the lower circle and parking lot.

Elevators
An elevator is available to the 3rd floor and main entrance to the Music Library.

Computers
There are wheelchair-accessible computer workstations located on the 3rd floor. Staff is available to assist users as needed in accessing these computers.

Navigating the Stacks
The fourth floor stacks is not wheelchair accessible. Library staff will help to retrieve any items in the stacks that are difficult to reach. Patrons with special needs can save time by calling ahead to make arrangements to have the items they need pulled off the shelf (734-764-2512). Another alternative would be to use Library to Library Delivery and have circulating items sent to a more accessible library.

Study Space
There are study areas accessible to patrons in wheelchairs on the 3rd floor.

Restrooms
Restrooms equipped with stalls and fixtures designed for wheelchair access are located on the 1st floor.

Handicapped Parking Areas
Handicapped-designated parking spaces are located on the west side of the Moore Building near the Macintosh Theater entrance.

647-FAST
By arrangement with the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities, patrons with disabilities may use the Library's 647-FAST pull and copy service for a nominal photocopying fee. For further information, contact the Office for Students with Disabilities, Rm. G625 Haven Hall, 734/763-3000.
