Journals

Journal articles are one of the most important places to look for information on current scientific research. Journals may be published by a particular university, a scientific organization, or a commercial publisher. The UM Libraries subscribe to thousands of journal titles, in both print and electronic formats.

Finding journal articles involves several steps:

  1. Where to start searching (deciding which databases to search)
  2. Searching subject databases
  3. Locating the article
  4. Evaluating articles
