O.K. Now you have found a citation for a conference paper or technical report, and it appears to be exactly what you have been looking for! How do you find out if one the UM libraries has a copy?
Search the UM Library catalog, by going to Mirlyn
It is possible the document you are searching for has been published like a book and has its own record that lists title, author, and other publication information. If this is the case, the item may be found by searching directly by the title or author of the document. Once you find the title you want, note the library that owns the item, the call number, any special location information, and whether the item is checked out or otherwise unavailable.
Many times reports and proceedings are produced as "serial publications" that are issued on a regular basis, such as yearly or bi-yearly. If the paper you are looking for is published in one of these serials, MCAT will list the title of the serial, not the titles and authors of the individual papers published within the serial issue. In this case, search MCAT for the title of the serial. Once you find a record, select the hyperlinked title to see the complete record. Check dates and volume/issue numbers to see if any UM Library owns the particular issue you need. Note the call number, if needed, and any special location or availability information. The Science Library shelves all materials using Library of Congress call numbers.
