A list of some policies regarding the University of Michigan University Library's information technology environment.

Check the printer queue listings (available on a monitor adjacent to the printers, or at the reference desk). If a job is stalled, library staff may be able to delete a problem/stalled printjob for you.
Note: double-sided printing is an option for the Science Public (BCP) printers.
Ask library staff at the Science Library Main Desk for assistance with fixing jams, filling paper, replacing toner, etc.

If you have a problem, try using a different web-browser, e.g. Mozilla instead of Internet Explorer in WindowsXP, or using Mozilla instead of Safari in Mac OSX.
Logout and reboot will often clear up problems. It usually clears the browser settings, etc. to default values.
If having a problem on a Macintosh, try using a Windows PC instead, or vice versa.
