Borrowing and Circulation - Shapiro Science Library

All current University faculty, staff and students may charge out materials.

Science Library books circulate for the academic term for faculty, graduate students and staff, and three weeks for undergraduates. Science Library journals, reference materials, and most Masters Theses do not circulate.

There are unlimited renewals on Science Library books, unless they are requested/recalled by another borrower.

Fine amounts are listed at the UM Libraries Borrowing & Circulation main page. You may pay any fines at the Hatcher Graduate Library main desk. You may contest fines from a specific UM library only at that particular library.

You may request items not available in UM collections through Interlibrary Loan

Try our Library to Library Delivery (Get This) Service which allows circulating books to be sent among most campus libraries for pickup.
