2009 Conference and Members' Meeting of the TEI Consortium

The 2009 Conference and Members' Meeting of the TEI Consortium will be held Nov. 9-15 in Ann Arbor, with main events (Nov. 12-14) held in the MLibrary Gallery and Lab (both in room 100 of Hatcher North).  The University Library is a member of the TEI-C and uses the TEI guidelines as the basis of digital text activities in the Text Creation Partnership, Digital Library Production Service, and Scholarly Publishing Office.

This year's conference features two keynotes open to the public:

Virtual Research Environments in the Humanities: Challenges and New Developments with a Focus on Europe (Elmar Mittler) Computational Work with Very Large Text Collections: Google Books, HathiTrust, the Open Content Alliance, and the Future of TEI (John M. Unsworth)

Plus papers and panel discussions, posters, and a number of pre- and post-conference workshops and other meetings open to registered participants.
