Title: Search Tools Outage Date: 08/25/2009 -- 14:12:50 (EST) Description: If you search by title for a database under Find Database, you go to the top of the alphabetical list. The same if you click on a letter in the alphabetical links on the Find Databases page. I was able to get to the database by searching as a Words Anywhere under Keyword search for databases. Update: 08/25/2009 -- 15:04:53 (EST): Fixed.

Title: Library Web Site Outage Date: 08/25/2009 -- 08:00:00 (EST) Description: There is a problem viewing many library web pages in Internet Explorer. The workaround is to view the library web site in another browser (Firefox, Safari, etc.). Update: 08/25/2009 -- 10:09:19 (EST): The problem has been resolved. If you are still experiencing problems viewing the library web site using Internet Explorer, please contact libwebteam@umich.edu.

Failures or client caching problems may result in an inability to follow links on the website. No real difficulties are expected, however. 	Title: Clinical orthopaedics and related research Outage Date: 05/27/2009 -- 11:38:48 (EST) Description: MGetIt says that we have access to 2007 volume: 5 until 2008 volume: 6 via PubMed Central Open Access but we really only have access to v.466(1) Jan 2008 up to 12 months ago. Title: Search Tools Outage Date: 05/26/2009 -- 20:30:00 (EST) Description: The Search Tools service experienced degraded service on May 26, from approximately 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The problem was identified, and addressed. Symptoms included: unusual results in any of the My Search Tools pages, unusual results from Quick Search, or Power Search, too many results in keyword Database Search, none in Database Category browses, and eventual inability to log in.

Title: Search Tools Outage Date: 10/24/2008 -- 20:00:00 (EST) Description: Search Tools is being upgraded from version 3 to version 4. Please use http://www.lib.umich.edu/searchtools/ to help you locate the native interface for a database to search. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Authentication issues surfaced Saturday and were resolved Sunday. The core pieces of Search tools has been working since the authentication failure was repaired. Title: Dissertation Abstracts International Outage Date: 11/30/2007 -- 10:32:00 (EST) Description: If you look up the title "Relationship of parenting stress and social support to adolescent maternal parenting behavior and child abuse potential" in PsychInfo and click MGet It, you get a link to "Miscellaneous ejournals" which takes you to Dissertation Abstracts International. Then there are two problems: (a) the link is outdated and (b) the link you're redirected to prompts off-campus users to authenticate, whereas on-campus users are taken to the ProQuest search page. Update: 11/30/2007 -- 13:30:12 (EST): This portfolio has been deactivated in SFX.

Links to articles in ProQuest Research Library work sporadically. Update: 12/01/2008 -- 14:10:04 (EST): Gale is making a change to their database which might cut down on this problem but not all book reviews have page numbers associated with them so it likely won't be perfect.
