Molly Goldberg made her big "Yoo-hoo" debut as an American radio personality in 1929 and continued broadcasting weekly until 1946. She had two short stints on Broadway (1948 and 1979) and a considerable television career (1949-1956). As one of the most successful broadcasts of its day, rivaling that of Amos 'n Andy, Gertrude Berg's Molly Goldberg, a Jewish housewife who moved to the suburbs, was a true American classic.
