Harlan Hatcher Graduate Library
In the June of 1970, the south building of the General Library opens. This eight-story building houses 900,000 volumes and 532 study carrels.
In 1971, with the completion of the south building of the General Library, the complex was renamed to Harlan Hatcher Graduate Library. Hatcher was the University of Michigan President from 1951-1968.
