Searches

How to submit a search request

The Art, Architecture & Engineering Library staff offers to search for a book that is not found in its proper shelved space.

If you are unable to find a book, go to any service desk to request and fill out a search form. Staff will conduct a thorough search and notify you of the result within 48 hours.

The following items may be purchased at the 2nd floor Reserves Desk. Pricing and availability are subject to change.

Special Items for checkout at the Reserves Desk

Ethernet and Wireless cards, Laptop Locks, Sound Meters, Calculators, Headphones, etc.

The Art, Architecture & Engineering Library offers various special items for checkout. Anyone with library borrowing privileges may checkout these items. They are available on a first come, first served basis.

The Reserves Desk is located on the 2nd floor of the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library. Here you can find books and materials that have been placed on course reserves at the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library for the semester, as well as the Permanent Reserves collection.

Document and Book Delivery Services

Document delivery is a way to get what you want, where you want it. Please note that most document delivery services at the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library are available only to the UM-Ann Arbor community. There are several ways to gain access to information from inside and outside the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library:

Interlibrary Loan, MITS, 7FAST: Request books, articles not owned by UM

Buhr Shelving Facility: Request books stored at the Buhr Facility

Dissertation Express: For ordering a Dissertation

7FAST Document Delivery: Document & Book delivery for faculty
Library to Library Delivery: Book deliveries between UofM libraries
NTIS Government Report Request Form: (National Technical Information Services) government reports published by DOD, DOE, EPA, & NASA
Table of Contents Service: Table of Contents from select journals can be sent via email (Faculty only)
