Union catalog for the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) / Big Ten Universities and Center for Research Libraries which combines 14 research library catalogs containing 90 million items into one easy-to-use search and request tool. Use this catalog to locate physical items (books, recordings, etc.) not currently available at the University of Michigan and borrow them from another CIC/Big Ten library with a faster turnaround time (5 business days) and longer borrowing period (12 weeks) than regular Interlibrary Loan. Also includes University of Michigan library holdings, with direct links to U-M's library catalog, Mirlyn.
Note: While the UBorrow catalog is freely viewable and searchable by anyone, only current students, faculty and staff of University of Michigan and other CIC/Big Ten libraries are able to place requests and borrow materials via UBorrow. To complete a borrowing request in UBorrow, U-M users who are not already logged in must enter their U-M uniqname and password.
